One of the good book I've read after a quite long time. It's a wonderful mix of history, marketing, fashion and psychology. A must read for shopping addict ladies and wise husbands/boyfriends. Aja Raden clearly explained the reason behind things becoming cheaper or dearer. Beauty is a powerful motivator, and it has channelled the course of history from figures like Queen Elizabeth to the sale of Manhattan. The value of beautiful objects is far from constant, however, and it is influenced by many different factors, such as marketing and supply and demand.
