Just Okay! Language was less interesting than the content. Most of the things are what I've already read in many other books. Yeah! I learned few new things as well, from it.

Short summary - To understand the difference between how you see yourself and how others perceive you, ask five friends to jot down five characteristics of your personality. Compare their responses to your own list: you’ll see some variety but also a lot of overlap. That overlap will include some characteristics you’ll want to retain and others you’ll want to change.

It’s also important to understand your intentions. What do you want to achieve? Ask yourself what you would do if you only had ten minutes, ten hours, and so on. That way, you’ll be clear on what you really want.

So for sure, I'm not gonna recommend it to anyone...!

WARNING! ALERT! WARNING!
If you're a lover of self-help books & motivational videos then please through away this book or return to the library or seller at earliest. When some authors are damn sure about their book's failure or don't able to gather the much needed courage to write a book in overcrowded segment of self-help, they just do the opposite. Not only to get cheap publicity but also to earn some money for survival.

Through this book, the author Barbara Ehrenreich shows the positivity didn't work in life but I opine, the whole book belongs to some losers, who have not achieved something great in life & now blaming anything that comes in their way. Though I agree here that the Motivational authors, books, seminars etc. become a multi billion dollar industry but it's quite wrong to say that things didn't work.

In short, according to her, a culture of positive thinking has pervaded American society, influencing everything from health to religion to work. While optimism and willpower are celebrated as helpful and even fundamental to improving our lives, such a belief promotes behavior that blinds us to reality.

Still I dare you read it at least once...!

This one of a quite contradicting view of 2008 Lehman Crisis. Here the author blaming the Government particularly the President Bush & his economic advisories. While the mainstream media maintains that rampant capitalism caused the 2008 financial crisis, the federal government is actually to blame. That’s because by depressing interest rates and fostering economic bubbles, the government caused the near disintegration of the US economy.

Book Review : Walking with Lions by K. Natwar Singh

So before I tell you about the book and its content, let me acknowledge Kanwar Natwar Singh to my readers, what all information I've gathered about him from the internet and press. I know him as a Diplomat and Minster of EA since past decade, but in mid of reading I came across many unusual stories of this Royal scion of Bharatpur. He's another long-time "Chaaplus" of Nehru-Gandhi family since the time of Nehru Ji.

Kunwar Natwar Singh

He enjoyed their undue privileges and advantage, so gradually promoted to Cabinet Minister even after being defeated in Lok Shaba twice. Though he didn't do anything significant during his tenure as a Diplomate, but on the media he takes credit of Indo-US nuclear deal. He's one who claims to have good relations across the country and across globe as from Pakistan to Iran.

The book is all about his experiences in Indian foreign services, basically he's boasting about his diplomatic adventurism in most of the chapters. The privileges he had during Nehru-Indira Gandhi Era and how he acted from US during the Emergency in India. The last few chapters was his best days with Sonia Gandhi and her alter ego. 

Who should read this...?

One who has time and money to waste!!  If someone aspiring to be a career diplomat then s/he can opt for it after reading few other good books (will provide the list soon). Secondly, if you get this book in the library or from a friend then at least you should see those few colorful pages and anecdotes attached to them. 

Why should someone read this...?

Just to have an idea how much, it is important to have a political connection in Indian Civil or Foreign Services and the privileges attached to it. Secondly, to have the idea of internal chaos in Congress during the death of Sonia and Rajiv Gandhi, respectively. 

What else...?

Nothing as such. Just read this book or at least share my blog to someone from your friend.
